My thoughts on a course in weight loss
While overeating would be seen by some as an indulgence of self, it is in fact a profound rejection of self. It is a moment of self betrayal and self punishment, and anything but a commitment to ones well being. Why would you be able to commit to a diet if you're not already consistently committed to yourself.
Central to the holistic healing of your weight issue is that you develop a new skill set with which to deal with unpleasant emotions. an emotion swept under the rug is not an emotion that goes away , it is simply an emotion that is put somewhere other than where it should be put.
The only feelings you really need to fear are those you ignor.
