good so far but the day moved on

So march is national social worker month. My job had a luncheon in my honor. We had a baked potatoe bar, salad and cake. I tried VERY hard to cut the potatoe in half ( it was huge) but seriously it would not cut and I work with a bunch of germ a phobs if they saw me touching the potatoe they would freak. Yes I didn't need to day the whole thing, but please that wasn't going to happen. I will not go into the details on what I but on the potatoe. Buy it was really good. I did have a slice of cake. A corner piece with roses. On the up did I declined to take the rest of the cake home.

So enjoyed the sweetness of my berries, makes me wonder about the allure of that Easter candy yesterday. I should tell you that I was buying it to include in a gift package I need to send out. Fat is not just inert cellular tissue. It is a repository of twisted, distorted thoughts and feelings that didn't have anywhere else to go. If you remove the fat tissue but do not remove its psychic cause, them the fat might go away but the casual imprint remains. And the imprint I'm time , will attract more substance with which materially express itself.

My thoughts on a course in weight loss

While overeating would be seen by some as an indulgence of self, it is in fact a profound rejection of self. It is a moment of self betrayal and self punishment, and anything but a commitment to ones well being. Why would you be able to commit to a diet if you're not already consistently committed to yourself.

Central to the holistic healing of your weight issue is that you develop a new skill set with which to deal with unpleasant emotions. an emotion swept under the rug is not an emotion that goes away , it is simply an emotion that is put somewhere other than where it should be put.

The only feelings you really need to fear are those you ignor.

Your.craving for food id an emotional temper tantrum.

A personal victory!

So this morning I am reading the newspaper and learned my local grocery store was having double coupons up to $2.00. I had some good coupons so I decided to go. Now the grocery store on the AM is a big trigger for me. in the back of my mind i had decided to get a muffin. I would be ok it would cost me 15 pts and I had the pts. problem is the zero nutritional value. So I get my groceries (my total was about 1/2) and my last stop was the muffin, I stood there, thought it over and walked away!

Having a very energetic morning. Doing a little spring cleaning. When I feel good about myself I get motivated to organize my life. Having friends over to stitch and am looking forward to that. I'm a "selfish" hostess. I don't make snacks because I don't have an afternoon snack. My friends bring their own. A little taking care of myself. When my good friend Maggee hosts she always has great veggies and of course I partake. I'm glad its veggies. Thank goodness my friend is thinking of me.

An interesting thing happened to me today. I did my grocery shopping and after needed to drop mail off at the post office. I went by my local micky d's and I had the incredible urge for chicken nuggets and French fries. Even though I had a meal ready to POP in the microwave. And I really like Shepards pie. I resisted even though I tried to rationalize my "desire" (I could eat my meal tomarrow ect.....) so what is it with the chicken nuggets? Anyways I feel good about myself.

My thoughts on a course in weight loss

Your body is not seperate from your mind so much as it is a reflection of it. As you change your mind,you change every cell in your body.

It might seem at times that you have no control over your urge to eat-and for all practical purposes, many times you do not. But you always have free will regarding what you think, and as you begin to think differently, in time you will begin to eat differently. Your compulsion will dissolve in the presence of the Devine.

I know that I alone am responsible for cultivating a lifestyle that supports my health, my good, and my sernity. I know my body may react with compulsive behavior if I fail to proactively create a peaceful environment. I surround my body with peace so that it will be at peace.

Tonight was WW weigh in and I was down 2.6 oh happy day. In looking back over the week I felt I had a hood balance. Still no excercise. I did not feel deprived and had several treats. An out-of-control.appetite for food originates in your mind not your body.

Like physical excercise, spiritual excercise works if you do it.

For every thought and feeling contributes either to your disease or to its healing.

Every issue in your life is related somehow to your struggle with food. Nothing is separate from who you are and what your manifesting. Had a very strange dream last night . I was eating cupcakes (probably it was because during the patient nutrician day yesterday I saw a patient pull out a package of cupcakes after she refused our soup). I remember in my dream thinking well that's it I've "cheated" so now I'll have what I want . This dream.baffled me because I don't feel this way. The old Darlene did, several years back but now I know that my weight loss journey will have its
ups and downs. And the only failure is to not move on.

I have been thinking a lot about the shame I feel in regards to being overweight. My earliest memory was at a kindergarten Christmas gift exchange. I got.a bag of.lollipops and it was so embarrassing for me. Now what five year old wouldn't love a bag of lollipops? who and what planted those early seeds of shame?

Just love all those veggies!

My lunches are all made for Mon and tues. I am planning on starting supper soon. As I thought my daughter was coming for supper I bought a roast. So I'll have lot of leftovers. This may work out well since I plan an going to an aqua fitness class after work. So having a meal ready will be good.

My toughts on A Course in Weight Loss

The solution to overeating is obviously not to deny yourself food altogether;the answer is not to deny yourself at all.You don't need to forget food,run away from food, or avoid food. And the last thing you need to do if you want to stop thinking obsessively about food, is to tell yourself not to think about i!! Doing so is an invitation for such thoughts to overwhelm you.

Impatience is nothing but the fear-mind trying to convince you it's hopeless and therefore you shouldn't even try.

Dear God
Please bless the food
that sits before me
May it be filled with your spirit
and may it feed me with Your love.
May it nourish me
that I might help nourish others.

Great breakfast- tasty and filling. I already have a pot of veggies soup cooking,carrots,celery,leeks,green beans,tom,corn. This will be my lunch for the week. I cook up some whole wheat elbow MAC and add 1/2 cup to each serving. I have soup every other week. Sometimes I add meat. Most times not. It is healthy, filling and comforting.

My thoughts on A course in weight loss

As your fear is reduced, your body will reduce itself. When you no longer fear the world so much, you will be more comfortable dwelling in it. Dwelling more comfortably in the world, you will begin to dwell more comfortably in your own skin and dwelling more comfortably in your own skin, you will subconsciously create a more comfortable body.

You have within you an internal guidance system. It is perfectly calibrated to keep the systems of your body in working order. It guides your breathing, brain functioning, digestion,and so forth. And when you were an infant, it guided your hunger and desire for food. Your guidance system in this area has admittedly been knocked out of working order, but there is nothing inherently permanent about this disorder. When your spiritual guidance system is back in order, your physical guidance system will fall back into place as well.

It is WW meeting. Normally I weigh myself several times a week, but this week I did not. I hope the scale good is good to me. Ad I have been on program all week I need to accept what will be will be.
